Un Colombiano no se vara!

There is a Colombian saying (another thing that Alex taught us) - un Colombiano no se vara - which means that a Colombian never gives up.

This is something you see especially in big cities at traffic lights. There are people doing all kinds of stuff to earn some kind of money - mostly selling snacks and newspappers, but also entertaining drivers waiting for the green light. What is surprising (and refreshing!) for a European, is that people support them and give them money.
